Woke and did the final packing. My scales state we’re right on the limit so let’s hope they’re accurate. We had to be out of the room by 11:00 but we’ve got to hang around until 13:30 when the airport transfer picks us up. I can think of worse places to hang around in than Jambo Lodge. The mini bus came right on time and delivered us at the airport. It was utter chaos but due to Val’s need for assistance we were fast tracked. Having witnessed Disney’s organisational skills this came as a bit of a shock. We cleared security and was taken to the gate. There was already notification that the flight was delayed but it was delayed even further. We eventually took off an hour and a half late. We touched down at Gatwick at 09:00.  We then caught our Oxford Airline bus back to Oxford where Steve met us and took us home. It was a great three weeks and our Golden Wedding was well celebrated albeit two years late. We made many friends some we probably never see again others we have swapped contact details so hopefully will stay in touch. We would like to thank our family for helping organise this and those of you who have read this Ann shared our experience.

Caribbean Beach Resort

 Blog 11th -15th April Put it down to jet lag but I noticed the last blog was dated 11/4/22 which was actually the date it was posted but it actually refers to what happened on the 10th. Here goes w it’s the remainder of our stay at the Caribbean Beach resort. Monday 11th Today we ventured to the Magic Kingdom using the shuttle bus from the resort. Once in the resort we had lunch and walked round to Adventureland and had go on Big Thunder Mountain from there we went to Splash Mountain both quite adventurous for us. The latter ride caused us to get a little wet but the heat of the day soon dried us off. s we came off this ride so a parade passed through which we stood, watched and photographed. We were advised to go on the the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as it is sedate. Who were they kidding! After the ride we went to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Phase two Start of the cruise

Phase Two Disney Cruise  Saturday 16th April We were up early for our luggage was being collected so as to be transferred to the ship, as we were ready when the bus boy came to collect our luggage we blagged a lift with him. We arrived at reception and was happy to see a member of Disney cruise staff present. We approached her and was so pleased to hear her say to us “you’re good to go.” We had time for breakfast then the coach came to transfer us to Port Canaveral. We arrived at the docks and saw the ship it looked absolutely massive. We debussed and had to take a Covid test which was fortunately negative so we we allowed to board. As we reached to top of the gang plank our name was called out and we were greeted with applause from Mickey, Minnie    and some of the crew. Outbound journey

Blog day 1 Friday 8th April 2022. Our son, Steve, picked us up at the allotted time and drove us to Thorne Hill park and ride from where we were to catch the Airline coach to Gatwick. It arrived a little bit late but we were in plenty of time then we noticed it was going to Heathrow then onto Gatwick. As we had pre booked tickets we assumed we were ok, then the driver announced he only had room for one passenger. So much for pre-booking. The driver contacted his base then informed us that we were to take the next Heathrow bus and he would arrange with National Express to take us onwards to Gatwick. Whilst this was our only option we weren’t very happy as we had an appointment with the Covid test centre and I was meeting someone for the first time in almost sixty years. The Heathrow bus arrived and we boarded. We arrived at the airport’s bus station but no sign of the 210 National Express to Gatwick.
